Might have missed this somewhere in the archives... I cant get my server to run secure.
When starting hlds_run I don't get the output about downloading security module from speakeasy.net. it doesn't even mention it, no errors etc. All details I can think of underneath: Command to start: ./hlds_run -game valve +map boot_camp -autoupdate +port 27015 +sv_lan 0 +maxplayers 16 +pingboost 1 -secure Behind a NAT router, ports as in valves FAQ opened and server accessible from outside. Output: PII optimised binary Updating server using steam Checking bootstrapper version Updating installation Checking/installing linux server engine Checking installation hl base content Console initialised Scandir failed /home/Darren/hlds_l/.platform/save Protocol version 46 Exe version 1.1.2.0/Stdio (valve) Exe build: 13:41:36 Sep 9 2003 (2511) Couldn't exec language.cfg Server ip address 192.168.0.105:27015 Couldn't exec listip.cfg Couldn't exec banned.cfg Adding auth server xxxxx Adding master server xxxxx Is the clue in the private IP? I have added my outside ip to /etc/hosts but when I force +ip 82.180.188.41 it complains about bind unable to secure the port and restarts.
