Guys give it a rest. Sometimes, just sometimes despite our best efforts
bad things happen. It's not like Valves source has been stolen more
than once. You guys know *what* happen, but you have NO FREAKING IDEA
REGARDING THE COMLEXITY OF THE INTRUSION (the *how* part). Man it's not
like they were compromised with whack-a-mole. The person who did this
cold easily have been very capable and may not used publicly available
tools.

No, we cannot let this rest. This is a serious matter. Not only have
they let their own network be compromised, they have potentially left
their consumer player (and server) networks compromised too.

I run a free server. Myself, and a few friends pay for the hardware and
the bandwidth out of our own pockets. I secure my servers to the best
of my ability, and even though I run a very large security risk, I
expect valve to take the same measures I take myself.

I have worked in development environments, and from personal experience,
from what I have heard in the last few days, Valve has a lot of work to
do to make their development environment secure.

I am pissed off. Valve have been continuously lackadaisical in their
attitude to network security.
