I am just asking this to get a bit out of what is going out there. My current config for CS and DoD is the following:
2x Xeon 2.4 - Hyperthreading Disabled 3 GB of ECC PC2700 RAM (3x 1 GB) Raid 5E External Storage with 15.000 RPM SCSI discs (5x 18GB Hot Swap) 2 SCSI 15.000 RPM's for local filesystem (SGI XFS) Kernel is Redhat default, with some patch level from my own, and IP Bonding support. Ethernet 100 Mbit to external - Internal DMZ running over GigaEthernet.
With this I can run safely 20 CS servers at every machine without having breaks or any hardware overload. The only thing I do is a automatic reboot at 0500 each day. Anyone got better stats ?
