Answer? When I figure my shit out. Bleh. THIS time it was _my_problem. Sorry Alfred :/
I am trying to do ip aliasing in gentoo. The configuration seems pretty straight forward. This is what I have in /etc/conf.d/net:
iface_eth0="69.56.175.164 netmask 255.255.255.0" alias_eth0="69.56.175.165" gateway="eth0/69.56.175.1"
ifconfig shows:
eth0 Link encap:Ethernet HWaddr 00:0C:76:6A:B9:2E
inet addr:69.56.175.164 Bcast:69.255.255.255 Mask:255.255.255.0

L 03/29/2004 - 20:57:03: "|TC|-=fuctup=-<2><STEAM_ID_PENDING><>" connected, address "209.30.87.34:27005" Dropped |TC|-=fuctup=- from server Reason: Error verifying STEAM UserID Ticket(server was unable to contact the authentication server, 27).
type of error. What am I doing wrong?
