Does the server you are trying to connect the HLTV to have sv_downloadurl enabled?
I ask this because I know that HLTV has a problem connecting to those (or at least did, I don't know if it's been fixed or not yet), and I am guessing this might be the error message that appears.

I just used a HLTV to record a match (TFC) without any problems. Both HLDS and HLTV running on the same machine (Linux) and completely up to date.

I know, that's the weird thing. There are hundreds of hltv servers out there, and they _do_ work. But yet i can't get it to work, while it did work for years. Reinstalling from scratch, deleting ~/.steam, i've tried everything i could think of without any improvement. So i tried this list as a last resort. Any suggestion is welcome.
