ADvanced question about Counter-strike/czero servers.

First off I found the reason why my server was locking up so much, It was 2
blown capacitors on the motherboard, so I gave my server a brand new board and
all is well again.

Now my question has to do with upd probes. I noticed that every single counter-
strike and czero server has this problem. The problem is after your done
communicating with the server, via playing the game, using hlsw, or even using
ssh, the server starts udp probing your ip address that you were connecting to
it from. Now this wouldnt really bother me if it were 1-25 probes, but after
only using hlsw for about 5 minutes I got 536 udp probes back from my server
looking for me about a minute after I was done using hlsw. The ammount of upd
probes can range from 200-1500 after any kind of session with the server and
they seem to last anywhere from 1 minute to 30 minutes even.

This is not a problem with my server cause Ive tested this on 25 servers now,
and they all do it.

I would like to know why this happens, and it seems to me like it is just a
waste of time and bandwidth. Is there someway valve can update the server code,
so servers dont waste so much time looking for disconnected clients.

Specs:

Czero dedicated 67.100.173.234
p4 1.9ghz 1GB ram
Slackware 9.1 on 2.6.7 kernel
