I think the decals not being drawn at range is part of the gfx optimisation of the
engine. Have you tried putting it all on max detail ?

I know this isn't the right place to do it, but the steampowered forum is a
circus, I doubt Alfred would get a chance to read what I am about to post.

I am very concerned for the Crosshair in CS:S, the dynamic crosshair isn't
as smooth as 1.6 and I think the smoothness should be replaced, a lot of CS
players rely on the dynamic crosshair to control spraying/recoil/bursting.
The reason its soo bad in cs:s isn't just because its not smooth but mainly
because at medium and long range you cannot see where your bullets are
landing, the decals don't show up on the walls unless you are about 10m away
from them, and the puff of dust just cannot be seen at med range or long
range which means we have no idea what the recoils like, ive done this many
times in cs:source ive treated it like 1.6 and at mid range and long range
bursting where I expect to kill someone in 2 bursts max, it just isn't
happening, and I have no clue how to correct it, because I don't know where
the bullets are landing in the first place.

So to tie in why this is relevant in this list, are there any server
commands or client commands to make the decals show up at long range?

PS. I would very much like your thoughts on what I have written about the
decals/range and crosshair.
