Symlinks work well for me. The way i do it is 'record demos/' which then records the demos in the 'demos/' folder, and then i have that symlinked to a web accessable dir :)
Not sure but 'record /path/to/www/' might work, or maybe 'record ../../../some/other/dir' - never tried that way tho, and I wouldn't be suprised if it's been disabled for security.
