This is on a brand new FreeBSD box with linux_base-8 installed. I downloaded ftp://hlserver:[EMAIL PROTECTED]/linux/hlds_l_1120_full.bin and extracted it in /usr/steam and moved the hlds_l folder to /home/rob/hlds_l
I then updated it to the newest version ./steam -command update and tried running it with: screen ./hlds_run -game cstrike +ip 64.21.131.104 It says this: Auto detecting CPU Using Pentium II Optimised binary. Auto-restarting the server on crash Console initialized. scandir failed:/home/rob/hlds_l/./platform/SAVE Protocol version 47 Exe version 1.1.2.5/Stdio (cstrike) Exe build: 02:38:31 Jul 7 2004 (2738) STEAM Auth Server couldn't exec language.cfg Server IP address 64.21.131.104:27015 Downloading Security Module from Speakeasy.net ... Completed downloading Security Module from Speakeasy.net Server is in Secure Mode. couldn't exec listip.cfg couldn't exec banned.cfg but never comes up with the "Adding master server" part, so my server doesn't even show up in Steam and I Can't connect to it. What's funny is when I type 'exit' to get out of it, this comes up: exit Adding master server 207.173.177.11:27010 Adding master server 207.173.177.12:27010 Sun Sep 12 15:31:29 EDT 2004: Server Quit but the adding master never comes up before that.
