The only HL mod that runs in full 64-bit mode is Counter-Strike - none of the others have the 64-bit shared object (SO).
I have been running a 64-bit CS 1.6 server for well over a month (and a test version before that) once 64-bit AdminMod and StatsMe were available. I am running 64-bit versions of: HLDS, MetaMod 1.17.2p10, AdminMod 2.50.60, and StatsMe 2.8.3. I use Suse 9.0-64, although 9.1 is out with 32/64 in the same box, I have not tried it yet. You can run the 32-bit versions of HLDS by using the command line parameter: -binary hldsrun_amd That will prevent the auto-detection from cranking up the 64-bit version. The 64-bit HLDS and the 32-bit mod SO running together DOES NOT mix - that is why you seg fault. ......Chuck http://www.TexasArlingtonCS.us (sorry, site & server down - hard drive failed) 8^( Asus K8V mobo, Athlon64 3200, 1.5 gb of Corsair DDR400 memory Suse Linux 9.0-64 2 cords - power and ethernet in response to: >> I'm trying desperately to try and run a linux based dedicated server with an AMD64 chip, but czero keeps crashing.
