Hi. I've just completed building my box fresh with gcc 3.4.2 and glibc 2.3.4-0928 with nptl. I'm on gentoo distribution. I've decided to install old cs1.5 server on this box -- hlds 3111e. this same setup has worked on all other boxes except this one. please look at the following problem.
[/games/hlds_bare] -> ldd hlds_i686 ./hlds_i686: error while loading shared libraries: /lib/libNoVersion.so.1: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
[/lib] -> l | grep libN -rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 5.7K Oct 2 05:37 libNoVersion-2.3.4.so* lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 21 Oct 2 05:37 libNoVersion.so.1 -> libNoVersion-2.3.4.so*
I compiled glibc using these flags.
sys-libs/glibc-2.3.4.20040928 -build -debug -erandom -hardened -multilib -nls +nptl +nptlonly +pic -userlocales
I cannot determine the problem. I hope some expert will be able to help me out as I am totally clueless. Could nptl be causing this by any chance?
