Can you send me the actual error string you see on the client when you
have these RCON problems ( "Connection failed (No ...)" isn't something
the engine would print). Or is this an external tool producing the
error?

A fix for a few of the active exploits is due out in the next couple of
days.

possible rcon exploit?

Ok... here's a weird one. Got an admin of mine who says every once
in a while, when he wants to go kick someone, he loses rcon privs.
When this happens, the following error appears:

Connection failed (No connection could be made because the target
machine actively refused it. )

After this point, ALL rcon commands seem to fail for everyone.

Anyone else seeing this?

FYI Valve and Alfred, WHEN are we going to see a new release of CS
Source? These exploits are frigging killing us all here!

Ok, I see the following error messages when rcon fails from HLSW:

15:33:23 HLSW NOTE: Connecting to 67.19.195.8:27015 ...
15:33:24 HLSW ERROR: Connection failed (No connection could be made
because the target machine actively refused it. )
15:35:52 HLSW NOTE: Connecting to 67.19.195.8:27015 ...
15:35:53 HLSW ERROR: Connection failed (No connection could be made
because the target machine actively refused it. )

I am told by my other admin that he gets this error message from his
console via CSS client:

"Cannot connect to rcon server (67.19.195.8)"

FYI, NOTHING at all in the error logs or on the console. :(
