Normally "Conection failed, target machine activly refused connection." is
one of the errors. Or something similiar.

The problem is that the rcon port on the server dies (gets closed). That's a client error message when trying to establish the TCP connection.

It has happened to me under some circunstances and there is only one
solution,
restart the server in order to have all the listening ports binded again.

Can you send me the actual error string you see on the client when
you have these RCON problems ( "Connection failed (No ...)" isn't
something the engine would print). Or is this an external tool
producing the error?

A fix for a few of the active exploits is due out in the next
couple of days.

possible rcon exploit?

Ok... here's a weird one. Got an admin of mine who says every
once in a while, when he wants to go kick someone, he loses rcon
privs. When this happens, the following error appears:

Connection failed (No connection could be made because the target
machine actively refused it. )

After this point, ALL rcon commands seem to fail for everyone.

Anyone else seeing this?

FYI Valve and Alfred, WHEN are we going to see a new release of
CS Source? These exploits are frigging killing us all here!
