Hrm. I guess there must be some way to detect it. The opengl32.dll in my system32 directory is 670KB, whereas the Orion hack is only 60.7KB. :/

Including system32 in your windows directory? It is in the %PATH% and contains a opengl32.dll. You need an opengl32.dll in your PATH to play in opengl mode.
