We cannot make this switch. VU is requiring the cd / dvd authentication.

Its definitely vivendi doing but with valves help, because ultimately the cd 
key registers with steam, and steam determines whether it's a ati voucher, high 
street dvd serial, or steam purchase, then enforces use of cd to play, does 
anybody know which email address I can email valve to get my account "switched" 
so that steam thinks I purchased VIA steam?

Out of curiousity (I bought it on STEAM), is this protection really VALVe's 
doing or Vivendi's? I know VALVe has some built in anti-piracy stuff 
(Apparently, I've heard the AI code stops working after x amoutn of time), but 
do they control what method is used to create the cd/dvd media, or does Vivendi 
as the publisher decide how to pack it onto the disk?
