Once you know it exists it's pretty easy to find flawless instructions to implement it, though I'm positive VALVe is trying to correct the issues, it's just a complex task. Believe it or not, there are some flaws in systems that are extremely difficult to fix, whether it's a flaw in Windows or the program you're creating (or the language you write it in). I reckon VALVe are doing a pretty damn good job so far, even if there is that nagging issue.
With the dynamic IP thing, you should probably ban the IP range for a time. Not entire sure if SRCDS supports this, but I'm sure there's a mod for HLDS that supports it.
And yeah, I'm inclined to agree with the last statement ;)

Sure it was public on warez sites or whatever but why spread it ? You actively have to search for those things, people don't need it delivering to their inboxes.
and other than valve who cares if
some people get HL2 for free, it doesnt effect my ability to play it.
It will do if Valve go bust or dissolve due to not making enough returns on their products. I actually want to see HL3. I am assuming you are a server admin also, in which case it affects you directly as the method unlocks cs:s and dod:s also which lets people play for free. Add one hacker to that on a dynamic ip and they can give any admin a hard time.
Maybe thatll be the key to getting valve off their fat lazy asses,
remove the donuts from their mouths, and actually deliver us a product worth paying for.
Are you insane ? Either way you are an idiot. Go read a gaming site news page or something you cretin.
