Sorry, should have been clearer.. It was completely empty the entire
time. It just crept up in cpu usage until it hit 100%..

how many players, and was the server full? w/ all the physics props,

So, fired up my HL2MP server last night and made sure it worked. Then,
starting around 2am this morning it started taking more and more cpu. By
6am it was up to 100% and stayed there until I noticed and killed it..

When I checked the console before killing it, it still appeared to be
running. 'status' returned information as expected..

Any ideas? Anyone else seen this?
