That was simply the port issue. Alfred could in fact reproduce the IP address issue, as well as everyone else here.

We will look into this (I can reproduce the problem here).

+ip parameter no longer works on Debian
Just give them a little more time. I know this is a pain in the arse to be sitting here waiting for a friggin fix, but as a coder myself it's pretty hard to find problems especially with major coding upgrades.

I cannot reproduce this problem. Make sure you have "-port <port>" on the command line and that the port isn't being used by another process. If people are joining they are finding it somehow.
Also note that the LAN tab only works for ports 27015 thru 27020.

I wish they would at least give us a heads up on a ETA.

Understandable. To fix a problem with code as substansial like this will take quite a long time to debug...and many times, you can't really produce and ETA regarding a fix...
However, it is still true that extensive testing of the patch should have been done before releasing the update so as to avoid problems such as this. I think there should at least be a BETA process for upgrades to allow some people interested in being on the BLEEDING edge to be able to obtain the most recent updates and test them thoroughly before moving it to true production status.

I guess the answer is no. I was hoping for a quick fix, as this problem is pretty substantial.

Can I be so bold as to ask if we should expect a +ip fix tonight?
I don't have one CSS server that runs on the main ip. I will stay up waiting for it if I know its coming.
