Nah, you want to look at the buffers to get an idea in free, Linux will use spare for cache which can be misleading. He has about 250meg spare, so memory shouldn't be an issue.
Fair cop! But why is some swap used then? Admittedly only 8kB, but that shouldn't happen unless the machine has at some stage used up all available RAM, right?
