Interesting,

 I use a Linux based firewall/NAT/DHCP, and have a Public Linux CSS server
running behind it. I have never had a problem joining the server with my Win
XP box using either the WAN IP or the LAN IP. I thought that in the case of
the Servers IP and Steam it only needed the IP for the server list. We
actually run the server and 2 clients off the same IP........
