Like I said before I've seen players with steam_id_pending for much longer than 40 minutes. A quick kick/reconnect and they auth immediately. It doesn't necessarily mean a hack

For 40 minutes? C'mon... pending for one minute or two is okay. But show me someone who won't disconnect from your server after e.g. 5 minutes of "nothing happens damn it"? 40 minutes is too much -for me- to think there wasn't yet a timout reached neither on cleint nor steam side, and steamID was not released. -Or- the user keep up trying? It's just silly to think that. 40 minutes is too much to think anything else than some kind of hack. Cracked CS:S/HL2, buggy code of a cheat, hacker activity => doesn't matter... It should be something 'tricky'. That's why i wrote what i wrote... >I believe you can ban STEAM_ID_PENDING Sure you can. It's just as easy as pie ;) >I get STEAM_ID_PENDING players all the time. Banning them would be a bad > idea. > > ----- Original Message ----- > From: "Daniel" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > To: <[email protected]> > Sent: Thursday, January 13, 2005 8:46 PM > Subject: Re: [hlds_linux] How is this possible? > > >> >> I believe you can ban STEAM_ID_PENDING.
