Even if Gentoo isnt that easy - i've never seen such a good documentation for a linux distro. If you have been working on a shell, there should be nor Problem installing Gentoo if you don�t have any special hardware etc. But as soon as you have special raid controller, scsi / sata things COULD get complicated ;)
