Hello folks,

after changing the download of custom maps to HTTP I keep getting
complaints from players, that they can't play certain maps any more. The
error message says: Your map differs from Server [map.bsp].

I already checked steampowered.custhelp.com (there once was an article
to this subject) and verified my setup, but I didn't find a solution.
Some additional notes on the problem:

- The error comes up even though the client never had the special map or
  deleted it before connecting.

- The error doesn't persist. You can try the download several times in a
row and one time you'll be lucky (no changes on the setup). I checked
the webserver's connection, but it's fine.

- The problem never comes up on maps, that have everything compiled in a
single bsp file. Some maps make more trouble than others (de_contra is
  one of those extra troublemakers).

- The error.log on the webserver has nothing more than:

[Thu Mar 03 09:52:19 2005] [error] [client 84.188.X.X] File does not
exist: /[path]/cstrike/maps/graphs/[mapname].ain,
referer: hl2://80.242.X.X:27015

Any hints?

Regards

Christoph
