Hi again,

i made changes to my servers sys_ticrate value from 5500 -> 500 and it make
my server fps drop to ~ 8 ( easy map with 32 clients, cpu load 99,90% )

Now what should i change next?
remove any addons, meta etc?
Im just wondering what is wrong on dod, maps, game etc?
And funny thing is if there is only 20/32 players server fps is 200, and cpu
load is 40%

This do not make any sense?

------------------------
Thank Renzo,

Ok, i will try to make changes

- pingboost is set all ready to 2
i change my server.cfg, line sys_ticrate 300, after change i will look cpu
load. Maybe i can change pingboost to value 3 or something like that.

Another question regarding rates

Can i drop my clients ping's with rate modification?
Bandwith is not issue -? I think this mean that we have unlimited bandwith
to use.

rate setting's are now

sv_maxrate 10000
sv_minrate 0
sys_ticrate 5500 ( <- Im going to chang this to 300 :D )
sv_minupdaterate 0
sv_maxupdaterate 30

And a question regarding maps

I have seen that some maps for ex dod_charlie/kalt/caen use a lot of cpu
power ( with of course my sys_ticrate values... ) but i have heard that i
should make some modifications for map_detail_txt.file? To delete some line
or texture or something else. Do anyone know / heard this rumour, or do you
have right information regarding this?

You're running the server too high on FPS. Try -pingboost 2 and
sys_ticrate of 300 and see if that helps. Some CS server admins run
their servers around 200-500 FPS but 5500 is a lot (not sure if DoD
requires a higher ticrate) and I wouldn't doubt a CPU running at 100%
utilization from a server running at 5500 FPS.

Using -pingboost, you have the options of using 1, 2 or 3. 1 tells the
server to process all the client frames every 20 ms, 2 tells the
server to process all the client frames every 10 ms and 3 tells the
server to process every client as soon as the server receives it,
which is why it would increase the CPU load.
