Would that be idling servers with no map change? Doesn't the binary restart on a map change? Or how do automatic updates work? (I thought the binary just exits and the wrapper script loops around to the update program.)

(Fortunately I've got a nightly cron job that restarts all my game server
binaries to allow for various kinds of leaks.)
