Ever since about 2 patches ago, I've been getting an occassional complete server freeze during map change. It requires a kill -9 to terminate the process because resuming the screen gives me no control back (it reconnects but exit doesn't work) and a straight kill doesn't do the trick. My log files just end in the middle of the change. Here is the tail of it:
L 05/08/2005 - 10:04:34: "mp_timelimit" = "20" L 05/08/2005 - 10:04:34: "sv_gravity" = "800" L 05/08/2005 - 10:04:34: "sv_stopspeed" = "75" L 05/08/2005 - 10:04:34: "sv_noclipaccelerate" = "5" L 05/08/2005 - 10:04:34: "sv_noclipspeed" = "5" L 05/08/2005 - 10:04:34: "sv_specaccelerate" = "5" L 05/08/2005 - 10:04:34: "sv_specspeed" = "3" L 05/08/2005 - 10:04:34: "sv_specnoclip" = "1" L 05/08/2005 - 10:04:34: "sv_maxspeed" = "320" L 05/08/2005 - 10:04:34: "sv_accelerate" = "5" L 05/08/2005 - 10:04:34: "sv_airaccelerate" = "10" L 05/08/2005 - 10:04:34: "sv_wateraccelerate" = These ARE happening after the game instance has been up for about 2 days, so I suppose a memory leak or such is possible. I don't have any memory stats from before the lockup, so I can't report them. I'm just curious if other people are seeing the same thing. This installation hasn't shown this problem for the 4-5 months I've had it up and the game server is the only function on this box. This instance used to be able to stay up for weeks. Any ideas or fellow sufferers? Snewo -- _______________________________________________ The coolest e-mail address on the web and its FREE!
