The point should be made that not only have people paid to play this game but VALVe continues to sell it. Perhaps some thought to continued support is in order rather than to totally focus on the next generation while sticking it to people who bought the original versions, and also still selling a flawed engine to the general public. The above items have all been ignored or passed off as something not worth fixing due to the focus on the next generation of HL gaming. HL1 was not a free game and the mods added on later, whether free or not, were added to assist in marketing the overall hl gaming environment and income was and still is being generated from it. So old or not, it is time to fix the problems or simply shut the back catalog sales down altogether.
