I don't think there are any 64-bit binaries from valve yet, no. I imagine they've been testing it in-house for quite a while though, I recall them mentioning a 64-bit test version they'd been testing quite a long time ago now. I think they said something like 10-15% faster just be recompiling the current version at the time into a 64-bit binary. Which was probably just from the extra registers it would have access to.
You'd think that even if the only difference is it has access to more CPU registers that there would still be some amount of performance difference just from that. Not earth-shattering, perhaps, but it should still help a noticable amount. Wonder if the compiler he used wasn't using the extra registers. Though I guess there could have been other performance issues in their code that would negate any improvement from more registers too.
