Alfred, this has been bugging me for some time and I finally
have a chance to get it off my chest. If an update has a dependency,
obviously the dependency is known internally to Valve for some period
of time prior to release. Would Valve do us the courtesy of
releasing the dependency information prior to the update, say at least
a day or so in advance? It would make it a lot easier for those
running multiple games per server (not all of them are necessarially
using the Half-Life engine) to schedule updates to GLIBC or whatever
dependency is needed prior to the release of the updated code.

I know, I'm being petty, but server hosting companies
tend to have contractual obligations for uptime with their customers,
and something like this could easly affect multiple customers if
done without advance notice.
