Out of interest what version and do u have the linux blocking patch
installed?

We replaced memory, boards, disks, CPUs, OS (5.4), Linux emulation
(rh8 / rh9 / suse9.2 / debian / gentoo), changed kernel settings
(HZ=100-1000 & SMP + patches file by file), attempted to trace it
