Hey all,

Even though trading accounts on gamesurge is illegal and unacceptable, I
must warn you that there is a scamming deal going on throughout the
network! One of the main channels that are doing the scam is #teamicn.

How to know if you are about to be scammed:

The scammer from that channel would give you a fake email address for the
steam userlogin, and a password that is VERY LONG and complex. An example
that he has given out to many people that fell for the scam is: username:
[EMAIL PROTECTED], password: h4ckth1s19992005l33ts4uc3

When he gives the password, he would require you to give yours the second
after. While you are trying to input this long password, he will change
your contact email and password therefore removing all access to your
acount. Once he has finished, he will say that your password is incorrect,
so that you try to login to the account using your own password. The first
thing that would come to your mind is that you would think that you
probably entered the wrong password, so the next thing you would do is to
attempt to check for the retrieve passwords. This is where the hacker
would get your email address and confirm that there is no trace of it
within your accountand then say that you faked the deal and he would "end"
the trade.

If you still have your cd key, go log on to www.steampowered.com and hit
support, and send a request saying that your steam account was
stolen/hijacked. Include your cdkey and personal information such as your
address and phone numbers. Valve will give your account back with the same
username and steamid if you have your cd key to prove that the account is
actually yours.

Remember, Gamesurge will not help you, but just report to them that you
were scammed by what ever channel.
