Spinner, you're failing to understand the situation, I think. Sure, it might only take a few minutes to help you. But when the information is already out there, there's absolutely no reason anyone should bother helping you when they can just point you to the relevant information and let *you* spend the time. *That* is a waste of time, a waste of potentially many people's time. It's much more logical, when the information is readily available, to have the person that wants the information to read the document(s) in question and find it for themselves. Someone's already taken the time to make up such documents so that people will be able to read it and help themselves, rather than having to answer the same questions over and over and over for every single person that is going to ask the same popular questions. Being unwilling to RTFM when that's all that's really necessary is just plain lazy, not to mention quite rude, and a waste of everyone else's time. I'm quite understanding in the fact that you don't want to waste your time. But what makes you think nobody else feels the same way about *their* time? Obviously this list is here to discuss server issues and help each other with them. But in the cases where the answers are readily available it makes absolutely no sense to get mad when someone tells you to RTFM when 'RTFM' is actually the best answer for all involved... Speaking of wasted time, it wouldn't hurt to trim your posts, either.
