I'm not exactly sure about it, but I believe if you are gonna use bzip, you
gotta bzip everything

Subject: [hlds_linux] res file strangeness

hey everyone,

ive just been setting up some non-standard maps on my server. as ive
had problems teaching users to visit websites and learn to use winzip
and winrar i decided to use a sv_downloadurl and get map hosting with a
company. everything seems to be working well - the sv_downloadurl is
correct and downloads the bzip2'd maps ive put up there, but checking
the error logs the clients dont appear to be asking for the textures
they need.

on the gameserver itself ive checked that the .res file exists, and done
all the basic sanity tests you'd expect (checked cases, file permissions
etc..). manually creating the download url for a resource is working
fine, but the thing is that the client is never getting around to
actually requesting any of the links in the .res file

any ideas why the counter-strike source clients wouldnt be parsing a res
file? the gaming server is on linux, and so is the sv_downloadurl
server. its a counter-strike source server and ive got the beetlesmod
mod running on it.
