Worked for me. But I mustn't start my server with the "-autoupdate" option after this "-beta linux" trick, otherwise it wouldn't work anymore (tried it a fiev times). VER strange, however, my current command line: screen -A -m -d -S florian ./hlds_run -game cstrike +exec server.cfg +maxplayers 12 +port 27040 +map de_dust2 -pingboost 1 Have to watch steam updates myself for these two servers right now :-( Hope I could help.
