Precisely. Moreover, anyone can provide their own custom censoring by using the filtering features of one's email client. Just like the "plonk" command common in most newsreaders. If you don't want to read posts from certain people, add them to a plonk filter. Problem solved. At least for those technically competent to operate a simple mail client.
