Yep, lots of people are working on this, mainly for the game rental market
though, which I consider to be a totally different animal to the Server
admin market as the feature set required is almost entirely different,
theirs is obviously geared around how they get their money, while ours is
geared around how we make game servers more fun, more stable, and easier to
manage.
We've been working on this problem for the last uhh, 5 years :)
