No. If you enable threaded listing in any decent mail client (not sure if OE does threaded display?) it will show that message as a reply to a message in a thread which has absolutely nothing to do with this one, because of the message headers (even In-reply-to has that message id). It's not me being list police, it's how email works. It is common for a thread to change subject, so people will alter the subject to show this, and mail clients will then continue following the thread, which is what you would expect.
