Sorry but it doesn't for me... I've tried from a vanilla installation of
CS:S and the same problem persist..

Add "-debug" to the ./srcds_run command line to generate a debug.log to help
with solving this problem

I need help on this, please Alfred contact me offline if neccesary. We've 2
Source servers offline in our GSP due to this problem... I don't know what
to do now.

Yeah you just run ./steam -command update -game xxx  and don't include
the -beta flag.

Worked for me.
