I'm confused.
Is this only happening for srcds_amd? I run the i686 binaries and am not
seeing multiple threads.

the memory is not increased by three. This is a normal occurence of a
multi-threaded a;oication under linux. YOua re only using as much
memory as the first thread..the other two are simply child threads of
hte main one.
