might I suggest everyone upgrade to 2.6.15.3 due to a nasty remote exploit.

So I was wrong, but then again, I'm not a techie :)
He downgraded the kernel to receive the 500 fps again!
So my mistake, it wasn't an upgrade, but a downgrade :)
