Interesting. Ill put some fact about this issue. sv_consistency 1 is
on by default. Now, i had to put that into the server config also some
months ago since the players got that consistency error. After that,
nothing (it wasnt a leet model which was giving it, but guerilla).
After the sv_consistency was on, no one have had problems with it who
run the original model files.

Now, if you go into ~/cstrike/models/player/ and change any of the
files under there (owerwrite with custom), you get automatically
blocked away from the server because you get the consistency error if
server is enforcing it and by default ,every server is.

However, if you go into ~/cstrike/materials/models/player/ (note the
different path) and change the files in any folder, t_leet, for
example, you can enter server which is forcing sv_consistency 1 or 0
since the vtf's (graphics) arent being checked by consistency. Usually
of cheaters use something suspicious, they are pretty all red models
for terrorists and all green ones for CT's. sv_consistency 1 really
doesnt make cheaters away, but it prevents people modding the models
(replacing them with a model showing only hitboxes for example)

I'm not saying that the consistency should be put into the graphics
too since lots and lots of people are using custom weapong skins.
sv_consistency already blocked most of the custom modded weapon models
which was a bad thing for some of the players who want something more
than the default weapons.

Now, if consistency is enforced to skins too, make sure that there is
a way for players to play with custom content. Counter-Strike Source
is a public game and people are having fun with it. Cheating is only a
problem when it comes to clanmatch or similiar event. If you have a
problem with "model cheaters", turn consistency on and/or get more
admins to your server.

Sv_consistency checks that the game servers version of the model matches
the one on the client. Both the game server and the client have this
model as part of their distribution. This sounds like either a file
corruption problem, an out of date server problem or people really are
using different (hacked??) leet models.

I think it may be a problem with steam delivering the file to our
servers. I have one install which i mirror to all of my customers (quite
a few). This has never worked for us even after several complete
re-installs of our master. We run consistency 0 but due to the ch34t0rZ
some leagues have started requesting consistency 1. The error clients
are getting is "server is enforcing consistency for file t_leet.mdl".

Any chance someone there can take a look at the package you guys are
rolling out and possibly re-submit that model / file to it to see if
that helps. We can then delete the file and re-update.
(We only use Linux so im not sure if it effects the windows ver.)
