Post your specs (CPU, distribution, glibc etc), maybe you're running
something (too) old.

This is the command I'm issuing:
./steam -command update -dir hlds -game 'cstrike' -verify_all
on a new installation. For some reason, the only thing that appears
in hlds/cstrike is the cl_dlls directory. Is that to be expected
right now for some reason?
