With hlds_run in linux, you can specify the '-pidfile <filename>' in the command line, which is populated with the server's process ID.
This command line option isn't available in Windows, afaik.. does anyone know of a work around, or perhaps an application that can perform the same job. Essentially, a perl process would use this value and then restart the server when necessary.
