Hello everyone, I'm having some problems with my cs:s server at the minute and after emailing steam support they suggested I try here.
First a bit about the box... AMD Opteron 148 2G Ram TYAN S2865 Mobo Linux FC5 2.6.17 Kernel (any more info needed, pleas ask) Now the actual problem.... I have a 25slot cs:s server running on the box and nothing else. On the whole it runs perfectly fine. However, at random points the server will crash with the following error: ./srcds_run: line 344: 2751 Segmentation fault (core dumped) $HL_CMD Debug saves the following information about the crash: ---------------------------------------------- CRASH: Wed Jul 26 00:30:18 BST 2006 Start Line: ./srcds_amd -game cstrike +map de_dust2 +maxplayers 25 -tickrate 66 -port 27015 +ip xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx -debug -debuglog debug.txt End of Source crash report ---------------------------------------------- This crash happens at various points of the game and doesn't have any pattern to it like certain maps or at map change etc. Sometimes it will happen several times a day, other times it wont happen for a week. Line 344 of srcds_run seems to be part of the update procedure, however im not running autoupdate. I have reinstalled steam ds several times. Prior to this box running FC5 I did previously try FC3 and FC4 and had the same issues. This is also the second box to do this. The first box was a test box of the same spec and build as this new box. I have tried this box with a vanilla FC5 kernel as well as custom kernels. I really am at a loss to the cause of this problem and would greatly appreciate any help or advice that you guys might be able offer.
