Same problem here except we also get "Server Verification Error" on numerous clients when using the 64bit binaries. That error means the server cannot locate the Steam Authentication servers. It seems as if VALVe may be rate limiting the old auth servers to conserve bandwidth.
Maybe it has something to do with rate limiting as the problem showed up only about a month ago. I tried to contact Steam, but they have nothing to do with it. Did someone already tried to contact Valve to get more information about this issue? Chris.
