That would make sense if it was a source game he was trying to get going,
but he's not...
It's cstrike according to his message: I'm 99% sure that Steam and HLDS was
fine at the beginning of Steam, so....
Would be good if this could be fixed.. Incidentally, I had similar issue
other week with an old VIA CPU.
Hopefully Alfred or someone will comment on this, and hopefully they'll not
just say: 'We changed it, you now need 'x' CPU/features'.

Valves source engine these days require sse2 which these older cpu's do

I got serval pcs I wanted to use as server - but none of them can use
hlds.
It seems to be the problem, that hlds is lacking support for amd k6 cpus.
With Amd K7 and newer - it looks like it works.
But with Amd K6, for example the 400 Mhz - this error occurs - on serval
systems.
(for example with kernel 2.4 on one, and with kernel 2.6 etc.)
So it looks like there is a problem with the cpu support.
Could anyone fix that problem?
