Dear fellow list members, Valve employees or not, is anybody else having problems logging on to Steam via the Windows client? It seems to be able to make *some* connection to Valve (i.e. it doesn't start futile attempts at downloading an update), but I can't log on.
My packet sniffer is talking about multiple TCP retransmissions to 69.28.160.148 and 69.28.153.82. I am located in Vienna, Austria (should the problem be limited to a given geographical area). I have been alerted to this by a friend hanging on a different ISP's network, so it probably isn't the provider's fault.
