actually you don't have to restart the box. Just kill the
process..don't restart it) and it will free up the ram and then restart
that process..not the box..<G>

Hey

I have a athlon dual cpu 2400+ server.

I had a little problem changing my kernel to 1000hz, but what will I gain on
it, I have 4 css server running, and they use 6-12Gb trafik every day, so
they are ok used.

But at this point, the kernel is on default and the server is running fine.
(have to reboot everyday, because of the memory leak in srcds. (anyone have
a guide to fix that?)

But will I gain anything at all, if I change kernel hz to 1000 ?

Thanks

Dennis
