You are not alone with this problem. It really takes atleast 10 mins to see my own post coming into the list sometimes but recently they seem to be coming faster. Perhaps there is an overcrowded mail relay somewhere which takes its time with the messages.

But the problem is that in that 20 minute period where there are "no responses" people are responding trying to help them all the messages start flooding out to the list after the 20 minutes is up. This: 1. makes it hard for people to discuss a problem in a swift manner due to the time lag 2. makes it look like nobody is trying to help so other people get in and then eventually you see lots of messages answering the same question. Would seem to me that fixing this problem while it might increase the signal to noise ratio because it allows people to have arguments much to easy would also let people get answers faster and be able to actually discuss an issue in a very short period of time. But this is just what I see.
