So what. hlds_amd64 runs much more nicely than the 32bit build. 64bit
consumes way more less cpu and the hitreg is better. Don't fix it if it
ain't broken.
VAC is not any superanticheat, it's pretty the same than just insecure
server.
In Finland we have coded our own anticheat which is -> www.easyanticheat.com
"EasyAntiCheat monitors for modifications in the game client's memory
and kicks player from the server if there has been any restricted
modifications.
These modifications are the kind that are made without an exception by
hacks or other 3rd party software without reason to be turned on."
It is extremely effective anticheat, and the main coder is a former
cheat maker, so he really know what he is doing (unlike the major
anticheat makers who don't really have no idea how cheats really work).
Newest beta version 1.70 has also screenshotting system.
"About screenshotting:
The original idea of capturing screens from players' gameplay was taken
from HiPPA's ssClient anticheat. Lately there have been many releases of
new anticheats using screenshotting as the major anticheating method.
Yet, all the latest screenshotting-anticheats (Aequitas, KFC, CHOAC) have
been simple and easily bypassable ssClient-copies without any protection.
Now screenshotting as a anticheat method is a very unreliable and easily
hackable thing, but as I am now bringing this feature to EasyAntiCheat
as well,
I decided to present a more secure system for doing it.
The new screenshotting system in EasyAntiCheat executes all screenshotting
events in certain so called 'execution-layers'. Basically, to players
it is visible
in a way, that all past made timer/loader -hacks will become blind to
taken actions.
Try it yourself - run a timer/loader -hack into EasyAntiCheat and see
how the
hacks have no idea when those screenshots are taken!
At the time v1.70 is released, EasyAntiCheat can be considered as the most
secure anticheat there is when it comes to capturing screenshots of
players' screen.
Do not fool yourself to trust blindly to cheap ssClient copies that are
as easily cracked
as the original ssClient itself!"

64 bit hasn't been supported for a long time. It doesn't have VAC2.

Im nice to people if there nice to me. Its as simple as that.
Right, yesterday i dont know why but when i ran the server it said that no
metamod_i386.so existed, when i had metamod_amd64.so in
/cstrike/addons/metamod/dlls and in 'liblist.gam' i had: gamedll_linux
"addons/metamod/dlls/metamod_amd64.so". I didnt change anything but now
the
metamod error dont come up when i run the server. Instead this is what i
got:
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~/cs-server#1$ ./hlds_run -game cstrike +map de_dust
+maxplayers 21 -binary ./hlds_amd64
Auto-restarting the server on crash
./hlds_amd64: error while loading shared libraries: libstdc++.so.5: cannot
open shared object file: No such file or directory
Add "-debug" to the ./hlds_run command line to generate a debug.log to
help
with solving this problem
Tue Feb 6 18:04:00 GMT 2007: Server restart in 10 seconds
Tue Feb 6 18:04:03 GMT 2007: Server Quit
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~/cs-server#1$
I found and installed the lib and now the server is starting but the
Security module from Speakeasy dont seem to load. I get:
Downloading Security Module from Speakeasy.net ...
Error downloading Security Module from Speakeasy.net
Server is not Secure.
Can someone please tell why thats happening?
Thanks
